Automobiles in German Town Discovered Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Police stated they were contacted by a individual who discovered a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish substance

Roughly fifty cars have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Cars, building surfaces and postal boxes were marked, sometimes with swastikas, they reported in a release.

Police report they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the form of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Police then found multiple other smeared vehicles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are banned in Germany under legislation banning the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials say early analysis show the substance was probably human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no clue as to its origin; authorities are not yet cognizant of any physical harm in association with the event," they added.

City officials announced they were attempting "to resolve the incident" and have asked to the community for information.

A senior political figure commented the vandalism left him speechless and had to be solved rapidly.

"This incident affects the very heart of Hanau and revives the trauma of the extremist attack half a decade ago," he stated on a platform, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a gunman aiming at residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
